Yamaha APX600 Natural Acoustic Guitar

While styles have evolved slightly since 1987, the essence of the APX remains the same. The current APX guitars showcase a more natural appearance, a 5mm deeper body for improved bass response and greater volume, and under the hood, a new non-scalloped bracing pattern for a responsive, dynamic tone.

Yamaha APX600 acoustic guitar in the color Oriental Blue Burst features a unique under-saddle piezo pickup, Yamaha’s proprietary Pickup-R transducer, the same pickup used in the highly acclaimed A-Series range. This pickup boasts an incredible dynamic range, allowing you to switch from acoustic to electric with a tap. It also delivers a natural tone, feedback rejection, and mix-friendly sound that guitarists need and want. Yamaha’s legendary active preamp remains a major feature of the APX series, and, being built by Yamaha’s audio-visual division, the sound quality is exactly what you would expect from the world’s number one.

The APX600 series, as the archetypal APX, combines the exceptional comfort and on-stage tone of the APX500 with several key features: a thin body and cutaway for excellent playability, a 634mm scale length for enhanced comfort, narrower string spacing to make stretching for chords easier, a new bracing pattern for more powerful bass response, and a stage-focused pickup sound designed to cut through a mix. It also includes an inlaid soundhole rosette for added aesthetic appeal.
